La metamorfosi è un archetipo vasto e affascinante, presente nei miti di ogni cultura, che ha fornito agli artisti lo stimolo per spaziare nei meandri delle mutazioni e delle trasformazioni concrete e reali, fino a giungere a quelle interiori e astratte, che coinvolgono quotidianamente l’uomo contemporaneo e la società nella quale vive.
Essendo la metamorfosi presente nei diversi ambiti che ci circondano, la nostra società non può prescindere da essa. La moda è prima di tutto lo specchio dei fenomeni sociali, perciò non può sottrarsi alle continue trasformazioni che la società vive.
Fin dai tempi più antichi l’uomo ha utilizzato forme di rivestimento del corpo che, oltre ad avere una logica funzionale di protezione dai fattori ambientali, intendevano affermare il proprio status ed esprimere la propria identità mediante un linguaggio di simboli.
L’abbigliamento è un codice, diverso da quello parlato e da quello scritto, ma ben definito da regole proprie.
La moda è lo specchio della metamorfosi sociale.

Metamorphosis is present in different settings that surround us, so our society can’t be able to leave out of that.
